„No a Maß, biddscheen“ ... The Oktoberfest is not only popular in Bavaria, but on a smaller scale is celebrated with similar intensity in many other German cities and even beyond the German borders. In the USA, there are already many Oktoberfest celebrations with good German beer - handmade, pot-bellied smoking man from Kleinkunst aus dem Erzgebirge Müller GmbH.
Smoker were mentioned for the first time around 1830. The production of smokers and their use are today a firm component of the folk art and the customs of the Christmas season in the Erzgebirge. For this purpose, a lighted incense candle is placed on the lower part of the wooden figure, which is divided into two parts. The upper part is hollowed out and is put on the first part. The smoking candle burns inside the usually turned smoking man, the smoke rises and comes out of the mouth hole.
